10 Ways To Be Happier Daily

"Be happy for this moment, this moment is your life."We all have rough patches in our day to day lives, whether it be at work, school, or at home. Some days we just don’t feel like doing anything because we don’t feel good about ourselves. This isn’t helping us at all, being happy and motivated helps in moving us forward towards our dreams and goals.  Whatever it may be that’s bringing you down try to put it out of your head and it will be much better for your health in the long run. To get motivated and stay focused can be a difficult task, whatever the case may be. Here are 10 ways to be happier daily, and stay focused and motivated today and every day after that! 

Smile

Just the act of smiling will instantly make you happier at any time. It sends a signal to your brain that everything is going to be ok.  You are able to relax and start to leave a little bit of life’s stress behind you right away!  This also makes people around you happier, which is key to your happiness.

Morning Sunrise Waking Up EarlyWake Up Early

Waking up early, even if you have nothing to do will make you feel more alive and accomplished for the whole day.  This is the best habit you can start, it’s hard at first but once you can start doing this you will feel much better about yourself daily. One thing you should do is to have a specific reason to wake up. Clean the house early, go running, or work on another project you have been meaning to finish. Once you are up early you have more time in the day to achieve these tasks.

Focus On Your Goals

What is it you want to accomplish in life at this moment?  It could be anything, start doing it! Focus on a steady progress towards this goal daily, with little steps. Think of what you can do today, in this moment, to start moving towards your goals.  The moment right now, after all, is the only thing you have complete control over!

Take Up A New Hobby/Learn Something New

Start playing music, playing a new sport, learning a new language or take up yoga! Whatever it is, learning something new is one of the best ways to relieve stress and focus on moving forward.  I recommend practicing this new hobby for at least a half hour a day to get the hang of it.  If you don’t think you have the talent for it, remember that practice build confidence. With anything you choose to do you should find that persistence will triumph over talent any day.

Exercise

Get the blood flowing, and happiness will soon follow! Any amount of exercise will get you feeling better in no time. This will stimulate dopamine production and help your brain to start thinking in a more positive manner.  I recommend starting out slow so you don’t burn yourself out right away.  It is also tougher to wake up early when your body is sore from working out the day before, so make sure to eat lots of protein and possibly look into protein shakes to help with a fast recovery.

Socialize With Other Positive People

Socializing is essential to being happy, you need to be around people and discuss your similar interests.  Also if you are taking up a new hobby, find other people that are doing the same and learn from them, or help them if you know something they don’t. Make sure you are hanging around other positive people that are also working towards goals.  It’s been said that the 5 people you hang around the most is who you become.  Negative people tend to rub off on you in a bad way, but if you can find other happy people that are happy with their lives than it will work wonders and get you started in the right direction.

Meditate Daily MotivationMeditate

Try taking time out of each day to relax and meditate.  Sit and think about nothing, absolutely nothing for 10 minutes if you can. It’s hard to start at first, you find yourself unable to relax constantly thinking about your troubles or other things that went on during your day. In time you will get better at it and feel more relaxed for doing so.  Start towards a more peaceful happy life by meditation, it only takes a little bit of your day and will work wonders for built up stress

Allow Yourself To Be Happy

Don’t be standing in your own way! Whatever it is fear of failure, fear of success, or worrying about judgments.  We all have these thoughts but you must work past them in order to be happier with yourself. This can take time and patience but must be done in order for you to progress.  Keep moving towards knowing yourself and what holds you back, that’s half the battle. After you know what it is that scares you or prevents you from doing what you want you can work towards getting rid of it and putting a healthy habit in its place.

Do Something You Fear Everyday

This is about working towards confidence, putting yourself out there. Find something that you are scared of; it could be public speaking, skateboarding, meeting new people, cooking, sky diving. Whatever you choose make sure it’s in reason and then do it, and do this every single day with everything that scares you, this will be the fastest way to build confidence in yourself and stay happy.  If you fail, keep moving and do it again, build up a resistance to failure, until it means nothing to you! This plants the seed in your mind that whatever happens in your life, you can handle it and conquer it.

Motivate/Help Others

Whenever you’re learning something new, teaching others is the best way to learn it!  Teach others your new hobby, an interesting fact you learned today, or even share this article!  This will help plant the newly acquired skill in your head and help you learn and brush up on things you don’t know the answer to. Helping others builds happiness and helps you to become a contributing member of society, add value to the lives of others today!
